Indoor Grow Lights

An indoor gardening method, known as hydroponics, has become very popular.  This form of gardening is utilized in every type of gardening, ranging from small apartments to the very large commercial sized greenhouses.  To be successful with hydroponics, you only need some necessary equipment.  You will need a reservoir which holds a solution of nutrients.  The aerating pump is essential as it helps oxygenate and circulate water and liquid.  Aerating pumps also hold the plant crowns outside of the solution.  Indoor grow lights are very essential.  These lights are available in many different types.

When a plant is grown indoors, natural sunlight is not available.  This is why hydroponic lights are used.  The lights imitate light received from the sun by acting as a spectrum which provides full light.

Most seedling require light that comes from a blue spectrum light in order to reach maximum growth potential.  Red and orange light spectrums are used in mature plants when they reach reproduction age.  Green light spectrums cannot be used on plants and buying this bulb is a waste of your money.  Most indoor grow lights have been designed with a unique focus in only one spectrum area.  This color spectrum focus is typically either blue or red.  When you are starting with seedlings, you will need different spectrum lights as the plant goes through its growth stages.

MH Lights are very essential lights. MH represents "metal halide". MH indoor grow lights emit a large quantity of light in comparison to their super small size.  These lights are ultra powerful as well as efficient.  Due to the high light output, these lights do require some special features to function properly.  You will notice that most MH lights contain a red boosted spectrum.  These lights can also be purchased as full spectrum indoor grow lights, or you can buy the spectrum bulbs separately.

HPS Lights are next on the list.  HPS Lights are super effective in producing the spectrum of red.  These bulbs can also last as long as two years.  In comparison to the MH indoor grow lights, HPS lights tend to produce a much brighter light.  Keep in mind that these bulbs do get very hot so air-cooled reflectors along with ducting is essential to prevent overheating.

Now let's talk about LED Grow Lights.  While these lights are the most expensive on the list, they offer a great deal of benefits along with quality lighting when compared to other indoor grow lights.  These lights are super light in weight which is something to keep in mind when thinking about hanging lights overhead.  LED Grow Lights also produce the brightest light while requiring much less electricity.  You can purchase both the blue and red light spectrums within the same bulb.  This is a very unique feature in a bulb.

By assessing your plant's growth and stages, you can decide which hydroponic systems is best for you and your budget.  With a large variety available, your indoor garden is sure to be
